Offers a practical workshop in the art of acting and dramatic expression. Students learn to bring texts to life on stage through a variety of approaches to performance. This course develops valuable analytical skills through play analysis, as well as building confidence in presentation and group communications skills through acting techniques and the rehearsal and performance of play scenes. May be taken twice for credit.

Lots of data is gathered every second, and we are all adapting to the amount becoming available every day. People still struggle to find the link between the overwhelming data and our capacity to integrate it into the decision-making process. This course focus on how to properly explore, analyse, and present data to the world.

It is an introduction to data visualization and will help students develop the numerical skills demanded by today’s employment market : Data cleaning and mining, Advanced Microsoft Excel (without macros), Business intelligence (BI) tools: Power BI/TABLEAU, Visual and oral data communication practice. This is not a course on statistics nor is this a data science, although statistical practices will be performed to transform data into a useful form. Rather, this is an analytics class in which we will explore, synthesize, and present data in a form legible to the general public using no-code tools.

Introduces the tools of statistical analysis. Combines theory with extensive data collection and computer-assisted laboratory work. Develops an attitude of mind accepting uncertainty and variability as part of problem analysis and decision-making. Topics include: exploratory data analysis and data transformation, hypothesis-testing and the analysis of variance, simple and multiple regression with residual and influence analyses.

This project-based course introduces data science by looking at the whole cycle of activities involved in data science projects. Students will learn how to think about problems with rigor and creativity, ethically applying data science skills to address those problems. The course project will address the theoretical, mathematical and computational challenges involved in data science.

This course introduces the core principles of modern databases, with emphasis on relational design, implementation, and querying using SQL and alternative approaches. It covers data modelling, indexing, optimization, constraints, and data integrity, while also exploring emerging database trends. Practical exercises provide hands-on experience in developing and using databases for real-world applications.
