Explores the sophisticated mechanics and architectural design patterns of the Python language. Designed for undergraduate students transitioning to production-grade software development, this course covers advanced syntax (comprehensions, custom context managers), type annotations for static analysis, and advanced object-oriented programming using magic methods and Abstract Base Classes. Students will optimize software performance using the multiprocessing module for parallel execution and learn to use modern AI-assisted IDE workflows, comparing cloud-based assistants with local, privacy-focused models. Throughout the curriculum, students will explore industry-standard external libraries applied to domains such as scientific programming, data science, or web applications. Through project-based learning, students will implement robust testing frameworks and conclude by learning library packaging and distribution technique.
