Music plays a critical role in shaping how audiences understand stories across film, documentary, journalism, podcasts, and digital media. This course introduces students to the creative and technical foundations of producing music for media. Students learn how sound influences emotion, pacing, and meaning, while gaining practical experience producing music cues and audio elements for visual and journalistic storytelling. No prior composition or music theory experience is required. Through workshops and collaborative projects, students will create original music and sound-based narratives using accessible digital tools.
